MARQUÉS DE TOSOS

Marqués de Tosos

1984 sees the birth of Marqués de Tosos, this becoming the brandname for the vintage wines produced at Bodega San Valero. The brand has now achieved a presence in 18 countries. Originating in the vineyards of Monte Alcañiz, a region also known as Dehesa de la Marquesa, these wines are characterised by their highly expressive quality due to the contrasts in temperature found in this terroir.

Marquesado history dates back to 1702, when King Philip V granted Juan Ulzurrum de Asanza the title of Marquis of Aragon, using the name Marqués de Tosos, which refers to the place of the same name in Campo de Cariñena.
