8.0.1.’s first edition was made on the occasion of the 60th winery anniversary in 2004. It was a selection of three varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon from 1998, Merlot from 2000 and Syrah from 2001.

From then, the winery keeps on producing a limited edition from this elegant signature wine, selecting different vintage years for each variety.

Cava Gran Ducay

Deeply cherry coloured, well covered, with dark-red edge and violet tones. Intense and elegant aromas of spicy and ripe fruits, roasted over a balsamic base. On the palate, the wine is well structured, tasty and full-bodied, with fine, soft and well balanced tannins, contributing to an elegant and long finish.

Serving temperature: 16ºC – 18 ºC

Pairing: it goes well with red meat, stews and roasts.

Maceration and fermentation is made in stainless steel tanks during a period of 30 days, at a constant and controlled temperature between 28ºC and 30ºC. Right after malolactic fermentation is made in American oak barrels and aging during four months. Afterwards the wine is transferred to 3 to 4 year old American oak barrels where it will remain during 12 months. Finally, it is transferred to stainless steel tanks settling until bottling.

Blend: 20 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 50 % Merlot y 30 % Syrah
