Marqués de Tosos

Marqués de Tosos is born in 1984, a brand of vintage wines with a presence in 18 different countries. Coming from Monte Alcañiz vineyards, terroir also known as Dehesa de la Marquesa, these wines are characterized by its high expression, given by the strong temperature contrasts from this terroir.

Marquis history goes back to 1702, when the king Felipe V honoured Mr. Juan Ulzurrum de Asanza with the title of Count or Marquis of Aragón, under the name Marqués de Tosos, referring to the town with the same name located in Cariñena countryside.

The blend of three grape varieties, Grenache, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon together with its aging in American oak barrels confer a high expression to this wine. A restrained and round wine, ideal to pair with all types of meat.

Attractive cherry coloured with ruby and russet hues. Well intense and deep aromas, standing out hardwoods, roasted and vanilla. Tasty and well balanced with fine tannins on the palate, giving it roundness. A lingering, ample and well structured finish.

Serving temperature: 18º – 19º C

Pairing: it goes well with red meat, stews, roasts and barbecues.

Maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 10 days at a monitored temperature of 26ºC-28ºC. Aged 14 months in American oak barrels and 24 months in bottles.

Grape varieties: Red Grenache, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Vintage year: 2014.

Its delicate aging in the wine cellar gives a unique character to this intense, aromatic and tasty reserve wine. A red wine of high quality, ideal to be enjoyed in special occasions.

Marqués de Tosos Gran Reserva

In this Grand Reserve wine, Marqués de Tosos reaches its highest expression. Grapes carefully selected and a lengthy aging in barrels and bottle, give complex aromatic hints to this excellent red wine, amazing with a savoury explosion on the palate.

Beautifully ruby coloured with russet hues. Ample and complex variety of aromatic hints, hardwoods, balsamic and leather notes. Tasty on the palate, with an elegant spicy finish and a pleasant aftertaste.

Serving temperature: 18º – 19º C

Pairing: it goes well with red meat, stews, roasts and barbecues.

Maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 15 days at a monitored temperature of 26ºC-28ºC. After a period of 20 months aging in American oak barrels, it is transferred to bottles to be aged for 38 months.

Grape varieties: Red Grenache, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Vintage year: 2011.

Aging: 20 months in American oak barrels.
